by Daniel Mar 14,2025

The Sims 4, a game that constantly evolves, recently reintroduced a classic element: the burglar! For those feeling nostalgic, or simply looking for a thrilling nighttime challenge, here's how to catch Robin Banks, the mischievous thief, in The Sims 4.

The Sims 4 Burglar teaser.

Remember those thrilling burglar encounters from earlier Sims games? The excitement of a midnight intrusion and the frantic scramble to protect your belongings? Well, starting with the February 25, 2025, update, Robin Banks is back in The Sims 4, ready to test your Sim's mettle. She'll only appear at night, attempting to snatch valuable items before you can react. While not a frequent visitor, you can increase her chances of showing up by activating the new "Heist Havoc" Lot Challenge. Be warned though – this challenge also makes alarms more prone to malfunction, potentially aiding Robin's escape.

So, how do you catch this cunning criminal? If you're lucky enough to wake up before Robin completes her heist, you have options. You can always call the police (yes, they're back!), but for those who prefer a more hands-on approach, your Sim can engage in a physical confrontation. Fitter Sims naturally have a higher chance of success.

But what if your Sim needs a little extra help? Several gameplay packs offer unique defensive strategies:

  • Dogs: A loyal canine companion will chase Robin away. (Requires: The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs Expansion Pack)
  • Werewolves: Their intimidating presence is enough to scare her off. (Requires: The Sims 4 Werewolves Game Pack)
  • Spellcasters: From confusion spells to transformations, magic is your weapon. (Requires: The Sims 4 Realm of Magic Game Pack)
  • Servos: Their defense matrix can immobilize Robin. (Requires: The Sims 4 Discover University Expansion Pack)
  • Scientists: The Freeze Ray is the perfect tool for the job. (Requires: The Sims 4 Get to Work Expansion Pack)
  • Vampires: A quick snack before commanding Robin to leave? Why not? (Requires: The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack)
