Sony Wants The Last of Us 2 Remastered PC Players to Sign Into PSN, Offers Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet Skin for Ellie as an Incentive

Sony has revealed the PC specifications for The Last of Us Part II Remastered, launching April 3rd, alongside details on PSN login incentives and new content for No Return Mode across PC and PlayStation 5. A PlayStation Blog post details features developed by Naughty Dog, with support from Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered PC Features:

• Nvidia DLSS 3 Super Resolution support
• AMD FSR 3.1 and AMD FSR 4 support with upscaling and frame generation
• VSync and framerate cap options, including uncapped framerate
• DirectStorage support
• Adjustable Texture Quality, LOD Distance Range, Volumetric Quality, Shadow Quality, Ambient Occlusion, and Reflections Quality
• Ultrawide monitor support (21:9, 32:9, 48:9, triple-monitor setups)
• 4K resolution support
• Support for various controllers, keyboard and mouse
• 3D audio
• Extensive keyboard and mouse customization options (full remapping, dual bindings, adaptive mode combining keyboard and controller)
• Full gamepad support, with DualSense haptic feedback

"The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC offers a wide range of graphics settings and presets, ensuring the best possible experience across various hardware," Sony stated.

No Return Mode Expansion:

Two new playable characters join No Return Mode: Bill (from The Last of Us Part I) with a "Smuggler" playstyle featuring a custom pump shotgun and double rewards from dead drops; and Marlene, a "Risk Taker" with a custom assault rifle, "All or Nothing" gambits, and a single path reroute per run.

Four new maps are also added: Overlook (a Seraphites encounter location), School (the abandoned elementary school), Streets (Hillcrest neighborhood), and Nest (Abby's infected building encounter).

This new content, along with new Trophies and bug fixes, arrives via a free 2.0.0 patch for PS5 and PC.

PSN Login Incentives:

Optional PSN login unlocks PlayStation overlay, PSN Trophies, 50 in-game points for bonus features, and a new Ellie skin featuring Jordan A. Mun's jacket from Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. This skin is also unlockable on PS5 via the 2.0 patch.

Neil Druckmann recently discussed Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, revealing its four-year development and its focus on faith and religion in an alternate historical timeline. The PC release of The Last of Us Part II Remastered precedes Season 2 of the HBO series, which will feature the return of spores.
