by Violet Mar 18,2025

EA and Bit Reactor will unveil their highly anticipated Star Wars turn-based tactics game at Star Wars Celebration 2025. Initially announced in early 2022, this untitled project, developed by Firaxis Games veterans, has been closely collaborated on with Respawn Entertainment. The game will be showcased during a live panel on April 19th, featuring the development teams from Bit Reactor, Respawn Entertainment, and Lucasfilm Games.

Details about the game remain scarce, including its Star Wars era and precise gameplay mechanics. However, given the developers' XCOM background, a similar tactical experience infused with Star Wars elements is anticipated.

Respawn Entertainment, concurrently developing the third installment in the Star Wars Jedi trilogy, is not expected to present it at this year's Celebration. Previously, Respawn canceled an unannounced first-person shooter featuring a Mandalorian protagonist, and more recently, a multiplayer first-person shooter incubation project, resulting in job losses.

Other highlights at Star Wars Celebration include a preview of The Mandalorian & Grogu movie (May 2026 release) and a first look at Star Wars: Visions Volume 3.
