Jason Sudeikis, star and producer of Ted Lasso, has officially announced that Season 4 is in the works. During an appearance on the New Heights podcast with Jason and Travis Kelce, Sudeikis revealed the exciting news, confirming that the beloved Apple TV+ series will return for at least one more season. A snippet from the podcast highlights the brothers pressing Sudeikis for an update following Season 3's conclusion in summer 2023. "That's what we're writing. We're writing Season 4 now," Sudeikis teased, adding, "Ted's coaching a women's team."

This is the first concrete update in almost two years, offering much-needed reassurance to fans eager for the feel-good soccer series to continue. While details remain scarce, Sudeikis remained tight-lipped about whether Season 4 will be the final season or where the story might take place, even dodging Travis Kelce's question about Ted's potential return to the U.S. "Yeah, that's too many questions, and that's only because I don't know," Sudeikis laughed.
Meanwhile, Deadline reports that Juno Temple (Keeley) is in negotiations to return, joining Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca), Brett Goldstein (Roy), and Jeremy Swift (Leslie), who are already confirmed. Sources suggest filming for Episode 1 might begin in Kansas City before the action shifts back to the UK, with production aiming to start in July.
Apple TV+ is already generating buzz, cleverly using social media to reintroduce Ted Lasso to the public. While a release date and plot specifics are still under wraps, the show's official X/Twitter account recently returned with a humorous post acknowledging its unexpected hiatus.
