UPDATE (1/19/25) - TikTok is back online in the U.S. after a brief shutdown. In a statement on X/Twitter, TikTok attributed the restoration of service to an agreement with its service providers and thanked President Trump for providing assurances against penalties. The company emphasized this decision as a victory for the First Amendment and against arbitrary censorship, and pledged to work with President Trump on a long-term solution to ensure TikTok's continued presence in the United States.
