Tom Hardy's MobLand renewed for Season 2

by Julian Nov 17,2025

Craving more of Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnan's gripping crime drama? Hungry for another season of Helen Mirren flexing her acting muscles? Good news—Paramount+ has officially greenlit MobLand for Season 2.

The streaming platform reports that 26 million viewers have tuned in since its March 30 premiere, making the renewal decision an obvious one—especially with its star-studded cast. Paramount+ ranks MobLand as its second most-watched original series ever.

Joining Hardy, Brosnan, and Mirren are House of the Dragon's Paddy Considine and Downton Abbey's Joanne Froggatt. The series follows Hardy's character Harry Da Souza, a fixer working for Brosnan's crime patriarch Conrad Harrigan. The official synopsis describes "two generations of gangsters, their empires, their complex relationships, and the man they rely on to clean up their messes."

"With over 26 million viewers and counting, MobLand stands as a creative triumph from producers Guy [Ritchie], Jez [Butterworth], Ronan [Bennett], and David C. Glasser, elevated by the powerhouse performances of Tom, Pierce, and Helen," said Chris McCarthy, Paramount co-CEO and Showtime/MTV Entertainment president. "We're thrilled to approve a second season of this global phenomenon that's dominated charts worldwide and reached #1 in the UK."

The series currently holds a strong 75% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes for its debut season. While available for streaming now, the Season 2 release window remains unannounced.

During May's promotional tour, Hardy opened up about how action-heavy roles in Venom, Mad Max: Fury Road, and The Dark Knight Rises have impacted his health as he nears 50.

"I've had two knee surgeries, a herniated disc, chronic sciatica," the 47-year-old actor shared. "Now I'm dealing with plantar fasciitis—where did that even come from? Plus a torn hip tendon. My body's falling apart, and it's not getting any younger."
