Ubisoft's latest article spotlights the gameplay mechanics of Assassin's Creed: Shadows, focusing on the equipment and progression systems for Yasuke and Naoe. A significant highlight is the improved Hidden Blade functionality, sure to delight fans.

Yasuke and Naoe boast unique skill trees reflecting their combat styles: Yasuke's emphasizes samurai techniques, while Naoe's centers on shinobi skills. Players distribute skill points to unlock weapon-specific abilities and refine fighting styles. Mastery points, earned through open-world activities and defeating elite enemies like Daisyo samurai, fuel this progression.

Character progression is balanced, ensuring neither character falls behind. Acquiring powerful abilities requires specific actions, such as tracking down a secretive shinobi clan.
