Ubisoft's unannounced Project U has had a turbulent journey. Gameplay leaks emerged in 2022 following closed beta testing, resurfacing two years later, hinting at ongoing development. Recently, a leaked introductory cinematic—shared by gaming content leaker Shaun Weber—further fuels speculation. Weber suggests more leaks are possible if development continues.

Project U is anticipated to be a session-based co-op shooter, reportedly inspired by Helldivers 2. The leaked cinematic depicts an alien invasion of Earth, with players as chosen defenders fighting this extraterrestrial threat.

While the cinematic's authenticity remains unconfirmed, its existence underscores Project U's continued development, though an official announcement from Ubisoft remains pending.
