Fans of the dark and immersive world of *Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2* will have to wait a bit longer for their next nocturnal adventure. The game's release has been postponed once again, now aiming for a new release window in October 2025. This news comes directly from the game's official Twitter (X) account, accompanied by a video update from Executive Producer Marco Behrmann.
In the video, Behrmann shared some insights into the current state of the game's development. He stated, "The status of the game right now is that the game is done. We are currently working on bug fixing, stability, and performance so we can deliver the best experience to you guys once it releases." This focus on quality assurance underscores Paradox's commitment to ensuring that *Bloodlines 2* meets the high expectations set by its predecessor and the passionate fanbase.
Over the past few months, Paradox has been keeping the community engaged through Dev Diaries, which have provided detailed looks at the game's characters, stories, and mechanics. However, to prioritize the final stages of development, all future Dev Diaries have been paused. This shift in focus is aimed at elevating the game's overall quality and ensuring a smooth launch experience.
*Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2* was first unveiled to the public in March 2019, with an initial release date set for March 2020. The game was being developed by Hardsuit Labs at the time. However, the journey to release has been fraught with delays. In October 2019, the release was pushed back to an unspecified date in 2020, and then further delayed to 2021.
During this tumultuous period, the project saw significant changes, including the departure of multiple lead developers. In February 2021, Paradox Interactive made the decision to part ways with Hardsuit Labs, handing the reins over to The Chinese Room. Under this new development team, *Bloodlines 2* was slated for a late 2024 release, which was later revised to the first half of 2025, and now to the end of 2025.
Despite these setbacks, the anticipation for *Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2* remains high. The game is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
