Xbox Game Pass Adds Noted Title on January 21

Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: A Snowy Start and Stellar Additions

Xbox Game Pass is bolstering its January 2025 offerings with a strong second half, starting with the day-one release of Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders on January 21st. Initially exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, this skiing game offers both cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes.

The first half of January saw a relatively quiet addition of titles, primarily shifting some Ultimate-exclusive games to the Standard tier. However, the second half promises a more substantial update. Following Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, three more day-one titles are slated for release: Eternal Strands (January 28th), Sniper Elite: Resistance (January 30th), and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (January 31st).

Of particular note is Eternal Strands, an action-adventure game from Yellow Brick Games, helmed by BioWare veteran Mike Laidlaw. Its gameplay evokes a strong Zelda influence.
