Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2: A Fresh Batch of Titles

Get ready for an exciting lineup of games joining the Xbox Game Pass in January 2025! Microsoft's announcement on Xbox Wire precedes their January 23rd Xbox Developer Direct, where further day-one Game Pass titles will be unveiled, including Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and a currently unannounced fourth game.

The January 2025 Wave 2 kicks off with several titles across various platforms:

• January 21: Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S) arrives as a day-one release on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Master the slopes solo or compete with up to eight players in cross-platform multiplayer.

• January 22: This date is packed with new additions! Flock (Console) joins Game Pass Standard, offering a charming co-op experience where you collect adorable flying creatures. Gigantic: Rampage Edition (Cloud, Console, PC) lands on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, delivering a dynamic 5v5 MOBA hero shooter. Also launching on January 22nd for Game Pass Standard are Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Console), a unique Japanese-inspired action strategy game; Magical Delicacy (Console); Tchia (Xbox Series X|S); and The Case of the Golden Idol (Console). Finally, Starbound (Cloud and Console) expands its Game Pass presence to Ultimate and Standard, having already launched on PC Game Pass.

• January 28: Two day-one releases grace Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass: Eternal Strands (Cloud, Console, PC), a fantasy action-adventure from Yellow Brick Games featuring industry veterans from renowned franchises, and Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S), a thrilling third-person shooter and trap defense game supporting up to four players.

• January 29: Shady Part of Me (Cloud, Console, PC) joins Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, offering an emotional journey through surreal dreamscapes.

• January 30: Sniper Elite: Resistance (Cloud, Console, PC) launches as a day-one title on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, bringing the award-winning sniping experience to occupied France, playable in co-op.

• January 31: Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S) arrives as a day-one release on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, continuing the acclaimed dice-driven RPG experience.

• February 4: Far Cry New Dawn (Cloud, Console, PC) concludes Wave 2, hitting Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, setting players in a vibrant post-apocalyptic Hope County.
