Yakuza / Like a Dragon Fans Choosing Upcoming Official Merch, From Cult Clothes, Traffic Cones, and More Bizarre Items

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is letting fans vote on the next official merchandise items! A whopping 100 options are available, with the top two vote-getters slated for release within the next two years. The poll is currently only available in Japanese, but submissions can be made on the official website.

The choices range from the expected (a 20th-anniversary hoodie, a Yakuza-themed pencil case) to the utterly bizarre, drawing heavily on the series' famously outlandish history.

Among the more unusual contenders are Munan Suzuki's cult outfit from Yakuza 0, the giant traffic cone from Yakuza Kiwami, and the intriguingly named "Puffy Gold Pants." Other options include Majima's sake cup from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Akiyama's gold watch, Kiryu's fountain pen from Yakuza 6, Kashiwagi's tambourine from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Kiryu's wrestling mask from Yakuza 3, and Saejima's prison uniform from Yakuza 4.

At least one new game will launch in 2025 to mark the anniversary: Like a Dragon: Pirate of the Caribbean (err, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth) arrives February 21st. While a second release is unconfirmed, RGG Studio's prolific output (nine games in the last five years, including Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Judgment Remastered, Lost Judgment, Like a Dragon: Ishin, Like a Dragon Gaiden, and Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth, plus two Super Monkey Ball games and a Virtua Fighter 5 remaster) suggests it's not out of the realm of possibility.
