Catch Records for English/Welsh Under 10m Vessels Fishing in UK Waters

Use this app to create and submit catch records for all English and Welsh under 10 metre (U10m) flag vessels that fish in UK waters. This essential tool helps you comply with regulations and contributes to the sustainable management of fishing resources.

Why Record Your Catch?
All U10m flag vessels are required to record their catch. The data collected is crucial for UK fishing authorities to monitor and manage fishing levels sustainably, ensuring the health of our marine ecosystems.

Who Can Use This Service?
You can use this service if you are:

• A registered vessel owner
• A skipper

For Registered Vessel Owners:
You should receive an invite email to start using the service. The timing of this email depends on your vessel's size. You have one calendar month from the receipt of the email to register and begin using the service.

For Skippers:
If you are a skipper, please contact the owner of the vessel to request an invite.

Important Note for Members of Producer Organisations:
If you are a member of a producer organisation and lease quota, you should not use the online record your catch service. Instead, continue to record your catch using a paper logbook.

What Does This Service Replace?
This service replaces the following:

• The NEP1 form
• The MSAR1 form (note that depending on your location, local Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authorities (IFCAs) may require additional information)
• The requirement to complete a logbook when leasing fish quota and/or when fishing in 2 ICES areas (currently IV4/VIId and VIId/VIIe)
