Audio Visual Lessons for Evangelism and Basic Bible Teaching

These lessons are crafted based on the Sunday School Lessons published by the AIC Sunday School Committee, Juba, Southern Sudan, and have been adapted for general use with the permission of the Africa Inland Church, Sudan. They are designed to be used in conjunction with the audio visual picture books provided by Global Recordings Network.

The creation of these lessons was inspired by the needs of young people tasked with teaching in Sunday School. The accompanying pictures play a crucial role as visual aids to enhance the learning experience.

App Features:

• 226 Bible Lessons in 9 Books: The lessons are structured around the Good News and Look, Listen, and Live audio visual programs from Global Recordings Network, which can also be accessed through the 5fish app.
• Title Search: Easily find lessons by searching their titles.
• Teacher Instructions: Detailed guidance is provided for each lesson to assist teachers in their preparation.
• Audio and Visuals: Play English audio recordings and display corresponding pictures for each lesson story.
• Offline Use: Access the lessons offline, though audio requires an internet connection.

This app focuses solely on the lesson segment of Sunday School, with each session designed to last approximately twenty minutes. Other elements of the Sunday School program, such as singing, prayer, Bible reading, quizzes, and additional activities, are left to the discretion of the teachers. It is recommended that each lesson concludes with a brief prayer and song that reflects the week's teachings. The lessons are tailored for children aged 7 to 12 years.

Initially, these lessons were handwritten by teachers in exercise books on a weekly basis, hence they are kept concise. While some lessons have been expanded, the aim remains to provide a brief yet comprehensive guide for teachers to elaborate upon during their preparation.

Each lesson begins with a stated aim to guide the teaching focus. Recognizing that children's lessons should not attempt to convey the full breadth of theological truths in one go, the emphasis is placed on one or two key truths per lesson, gradually building the children's understanding of God.

The lessons are not intended to be read verbatim to the class; instead, they serve as a helpful tool—a walking stick for the teacher, rather than a crutch.
