Tarneeb 41

Tarneeb is a card game for two teams, each consisting of two players sitting opposite each other at a table. Using a standard 52-card deck, gameplay proceeds counter-clockwise. Each player attempts to estimate the number of "Allmat" (tricks) their team can win in each round.

The player who wins the bid to declare "Tarneeb" throws a type of paper onto the floor. Other players must then throw papers of the same type. The player who throws the matching paper first wins the "Bamh." This continues with subsequent rounds. If a player doesn't have a matching paper, they forfeit and the original "Tarneeb" player wins. "Tarneeb" papers are considered superior; a stronger "Tarneeb" paper beats any other paper. The round concludes when all players have played their hands.

Points are tallied at the end of each round. A team that successfully achieves their bidded number of "Allmat" adds that number to their score; the opposing team receives no points. If a team fails to reach their bid, the "Allmat" they won are added to their opponents' score, and their own score is reduced by that amount.

If either team wins 13 "Allmat" without bidding for 13, 16 points are added to their score. If a team bids for and achieves 13 "Allmat," they receive 26 points. However, if a team bids for 13 "Allmat" and fails, they lose 16 points.

The game ends when a team reaches a total score of 41 or more points. That team is declared the winner.
