The "Guardians of the Road" initiative has been enhanced with a redesigned app, offering a streamlined and improved user experience.
Become a Road Guardian and help save lives!
Launched in 2016, the "Guardians of the Road – Our Shared Road" project aims to raise awareness and deter unsafe driving practices. Since January 1, 2023, the "Safe Path" association has overseen its operations.
Anyone over 18 can download the "Road Guards" app and begin documenting traffic violations.
Using the app is simple and quick. Activate the app before driving, and when you witness a violation, engage the reporting function. Reporting can be initiated via voice command or by pressing a Bluetooth button on your steering wheel. The app will automatically begin recording video and audio details of the incident.
These recordings are transmitted to a control center staffed by experienced volunteer monitors. After review, a "letter on the way" is sent to the driver, including a link to the recorded video evidence. In cases involving serious safety risks, the report is forwarded directly to law enforcement.
