Boerenbridge, also known in Flanders as Chinese Pooping, is an engaging card game that revolves around predicting and achieving a specific number of tricks in each round. Here's how to keep track of points and understand the gameplay mechanics:

Objective and Gameplay

The primary goal of Chinese Pooping is to accurately predict the number of tricks you will win in each round. The game progresses through rounds where the number of cards dealt to each player increases from one card in the first round to a maximum (dependent on the number of players) before decreasing back to one card in the final round.

Starting the Game

• Dealing Cards: In the first round, each player receives one card. The number of cards dealt increases by one each round until the maximum is reached, after which it decreases back to one.
• Bidding: Players, starting from the left of the dealer, bid on the number of tricks they expect to win. The highest bidder sets the trump suit for that round.
• Dealer's Constraint: The dealer, who bids last, must not bid a number that would make the total number of tricks bid equal to the number of cards dealt in that round. For example, if seven cards are dealt and the first three players bid 0, 3, and 2 tricks respectively, the dealer cannot bid 2 tricks because 0 + 3 + 2 + 2 would equal 7.

Scoring

• Points for Accurate Bids: Players earn points based on how accurately they predict their tricks. If a player bids and wins exactly that number of tricks, they score points equal to the number of tricks bid plus 10 bonus points for an exact prediction. For example, bidding 3 tricks and winning 3 tricks would score 13 points (3 + 10).
• Points for Inaccurate Bids: If a player does not meet their bid, they score 0 points for that round. If they exceed their bid, they only score the number of tricks they bid, without the bonus. For instance, bidding 3 tricks but winning 4 would score only 3 points.

Winning the Game

The player with the highest total points at the end of all rounds wins the game. The game concludes after the round where each player is dealt one card again.
