May 2025 PS Plus Free Game Linked to Hollywood Movie

It looks like one of the PlayStation Plus games for May 2025 has leaked. While nothing is confirmed by Sony yet, rumors are swirling that the teen slasher horror game, Until Dawn, will be available as a free download for PlayStation players during May. The leaked key art hints at the possibility of it being the Until Dawn Remastered version, rather than the original 2014 release. We'll keep you updated as soon as we have official confirmation.

PlayStation Plus is a premium online gaming service for PlayStation platforms, offering a variety of benefits to its subscribers. These include free monthly games, limited-time trials, online multiplayer access, and exclusive member discounts. Additionally, Extra and Premium members enjoy access to a catalog boasting hundreds of current and classic games, while the monthly free games are accessible to all subscribers, regardless of their tier.

Discussions on the PlayStation community on Reddit have speculated that this could be a strategic move to boost interest in the newly released Until Dawn movie. However, the movie didn't live up to expectations, earning a 5/10 from IGN, with our review stating, "Until Dawn is more disappointing than deadly, leaving all the promise of the horror game behind for a jumble of horror-movie re-creations."

As a result, Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2 will no longer be available on modern consoles.
