HBO's hit series, The Last of Us, is poised for a four-season run, according to an executive.
Francesca Orsi, an HBO executive, hinted at a four-season arc for the acclaimed adaptation, clarifying that while there's no finalized plan, a four-season trajectory is currently anticipated. "It's looking like this season and then two more seasons after this, and we're done," Orsi told Deadline.
Regarding the highly anticipated Season 2, premiering in April 2025, Orsi teased the introduction of compelling factions vying for survival. She highlighted their unique presentation, stating, "There's a certain way [the show] is presenting them in wardrobe and makeup that feels really different than the average person."

Catch up on Season 1 before Season 2 premieres in April! Unlike Season 1, which fully adapted the first game, Season 2 will span a portion of The Last of Us Part II, concluding after seven episodes at a natural narrative breakpoint.
Season 2 will introduce several new characters: Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Danny Ramirez as Manny, and Tati Gabrielle as Mel. Catherine O'Hara's role remains shrouded in mystery.
IGN's review of Season 1 lauded the show as "a stunning adaptation," awarding it a 9/10 score.
