8 Games to Exit Xbox Game Pass in May 2025

by Bella May 03,2025

Microsoft has announced the list of games that will be exiting its Xbox Game Pass subscription service on May 15, 2025. A total of eight titles are scheduled to leave the platform, including popular games like Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Jurassic World Evolution 2, and Little Kitty, Big City.

Xbox Game Pass is a versatile online gaming service available for both Xbox and PC platforms. Subscribers can enjoy streaming games directly on smart devices and consoles, play new releases on their release day based on their subscription level, and access a vast library of top-quality games. The games being removed are from this extensive catalog.

Games Departing Xbox Game Pass in May 2025 Include:

  • Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
  • Chants of Sennaar
  • Dune: Spice Wars
  • Hauntii
  • Jurassic World Evolution 2
  • Little Kitty, Big City
  • Planet of Lana
  • The Big Con

Microsoft is set to reveal the second wave of the May 2025 Game Pass lineup shortly after these games are removed from the service.

In other news, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members received a new perk earlier this month: the ability to stream certain games directly to their consoles without needing to download them. This was detailed in an Xbox Wire post, which highlighted that Ultimate members can now stream games from the Game Pass library, as well as select owned games, on their Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles through cloud streaming. Previously, this feature was available on smart TVs, PCs, smartphones, and Meta Quest headsets, but this marks the first time it's been extended to consoles.

In light of the recent announcement that Grand Theft Auto 6 has been postponed until May 2026, fans eager to revisit the GTA universe can dive back into GTA 5. Notably, GTA 5 Enhanced is now accessible on both Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, marking its debut on the PC version of the service.
