Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 Gaming PC Launched at $2,399

by Hannah Apr 16,2025

Starting today, Dell is offering an incredible deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, equipped with the cutting-edge GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, for just $2,399.99 shipped. This price is unbeatable for an RTX 5080 prebuilt, especially considering that other brands have been steadily increasing their prices since the RTX 50 series launch in January. At Dell, the next cheapest option with an RTX 5080 GPU is over $4,000. Attempting to find a standalone RTX 5080 GPU for a DIY build could cost you just as much as this entire system.

Update: Like other manufacturers, Dell has been affected by tariffs. With the ongoing stock issues surrounding the Blackwell cards, prices for Alienware gaming desktops with RTX 50 series GPUs are expected to rise soon.

$2,399.99 at Alienware

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU and a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, accompanied by 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F, part of the Meteor Lake series, boasts a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz, 20 cores, and a 30MB cache. The system is cooled efficiently with a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler and powered by a robust 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.

The RTX 5080 is one of the three new Blackwell graphics cards currently available, yet they are extremely hard to find. In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie noted, "If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be worth the upgrade – it doesn’t significantly outperform the RTX 4080, though the additional frames from DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation enhance the visual experience in compatible games. However, for gamers with older graphics cards looking for a substantial performance boost, the RTX 5080 delivers, particularly if you're keen on leveraging Nvidia’s AI enhancements."

RTX 5080 and 5090 GPUs Are Sold Out Everywhere

The initial batch of Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards sold out within the first hour of preorders. The lineup started with the high-end RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti in February. Similarly, prebuilt gaming PCs equipped with these GPUs are either sold out, have increased in price, or are facing extended delivery delays.
