In 2020, a heartwarming interaction occurred between Kevin Conroy, the iconic voice of Batman, and a fan battling schizophrenia. The fan, after deeply connecting with the emotional resonance of Batman: Arkham Knight, commissioned a short Cameo video from Conroy. Anticipating a typical brief message, he instead received over six minutes of genuine encouragement and support. Conroy, profoundly touched by the fan's story, went above and beyond a standard response. This unexpected act of kindness proved a lifeline for the fan during challenging times.

This touching tale surfaced on Reddit. The fan, deeply affected by Arkham Knight's ending—where Batman confronts his own inner demons—saw a parallel to his struggle with schizophrenia. Expressing his gratitude, he shared his personal journey with Conroy, explaining how the Dark Knight's story empowered him.

Expecting a standard Cameo video, the fan was overwhelmed by Conroy's extensive and empathetic message.

The fan shared: "This video has saved me from suicide countless times. Hearing Batman say he believed in me was incredibly powerful... But as time went on, it became just as important that it was Kevin himself who believed in me."

Initially hesitant to share the video publicly, the fan ultimately decided to post it after learning of Conroy's personal connection to schizophrenia through a family member. He hoped it would offer hope to others.

He added: "If someone in his family asks me to delete this video, I will of course do so. But it has inspired me in my toughest moments, and maybe it will inspire someone else. Hang in there. Because Batman believes in you."

Sadly, Kevin Conroy passed away on November 10, 2022, at the age of 66. However, his compassionate words and enduring legacy continue to inspire countless individuals worldwide.
