Bethesda to Unveil Oblivion Remake Tomorrow

by Lillian Apr 23,2025

After months of swirling rumors and leaks, it seems Bethesda is on the brink of officially unveiling the much-anticipated remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The announcement is set to take place tomorrow at 8am PT/11am ET, and fans can catch the reveal live on both YouTube and Twitch.

In a tweet posted today, Bethesda teased the event with an image featuring a prominent "IV" and a background strikingly similar to iconic art from the original Oblivion, hinting strongly at what's to come. The gaming community has been buzzing with speculation about an Oblivion remake for what feels like an eternity. The whispers turned into more concrete leaks in recent times, beginning with a 2020 Bethesda release schedule that surfaced during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023. That document suggested an Oblivion remaster was slated for fiscal year 2022, though the date had passed, leaving room for doubt about the project's status.

However, the momentum picked up significantly in January of this year when new leaks emerged, describing the project as a full-fledged remake developed by Bethesda with assistance from Virtuos. The speculation reached a fever pitch last week when further leaks from Virtuos' website surfaced, showcasing images of the remake in development.

If these recent leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered will be available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Additionally, a Deluxe Edition is rumored to include the iconic horse armor alongside the standard version.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow for what promises to be a historic moment for fans of the series, as Bethesda is expected to confirm these details and share more about what to expect from the revamped Oblivion.
