Hearthstone's upcoming Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set, launching January 21st, boasts a record-breaking 49 new cards. This expansion, a crossover with Blizzard's StarCraft universe, introduces class and multi-class cards representing the Zerg, Protoss, and Terran factions.
The Mini-Set features three cards per Hearthstone class. Zerg cards (Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Hunter, Warlock) emphasize summoning Zerglings and utilizing Hydralisks. Protoss cards (Druid, Mage, Priest, Rogue) focus on mana manipulation to deploy powerful units like the Carrier. Terran cards (Paladin, Shaman, Warrior) leverage the Starship mechanic from The Great Dark Beyond, introducing new Starship Pieces and strategies. A single neutral Legendary card, Grunty, completes the set. Card reveals will continue throughout the week leading up to the launch.
Acquiring the complete Mini-Set costs $20 (or 2500 gold), a $5 increase over previous Mini-Sets. A golden version is available for $80 (12,000 gold). Alternatively, players can purchase individual faction packs (Protoss, Terran, or Zerg) for $10 (1200 gold) each.
To celebrate the release, Blizzard is hosting two streamed events:
Viewers of these Twitch streams will receive two standard and two Golden The Great Dark Beyond packs.
