The dynamic duo of writer Greg Rucka and artist Nicola Scott, who previously delivered the definitive modern take on Wonder Woman's origin in "Wonder Woman: Year One," are set to reunite for an exciting new venture in the DC Universe titled "Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League." This fresh narrative promises a thrilling departure from their past works, focusing on the cunning and collaboration of two iconic villains.
"Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League" is penned by Rucka and brought to life through Scott's illustrations, with vibrant colors by Annette Kwok and meticulous lettering by Troy Peteri. Dive into the slideshow gallery below for an exclusive sneak peek at the first issue:

This captivating six-issue series is slated for release under the DC All In initiative. While the pairing of Cheetah and Cheshire might seem unconventional, it resonates deeply with Rucka and Scott's previous contributions to the DC Universe. Cheetah played a pivotal role in Rucka's two Wonder Woman runs, and Cheshire was a central figure in Scott's "Secret Six" series, co-created with writer Gail Simone.
DC's official synopsis teases an exhilarating plot:
Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League showcases the titular characters meticulously planning and executing a bold heist—robbing the most secure facility in the DC Universe—and getting away with it! To accomplish the impossible, Cheetah and Cheshire need to recruit a top-tier crew capable of beating not just the odds, but the Justice League themselves…all without stabbing one another in the back as they try to acquire one of the most dangerous devices in the DCU!
All that stands between the participants in this six-issue caper and pulling off the most daring extraction in DC history are a few tiny complications…like the most sophisticated orbital platform ever constructed, its AI-driven security system, and one other thing—the smartest and most powerful heroes in the DCU.
Rucka shared his enthusiasm, stating, “I won’t bury the lede. This is a crew of villains, or at least nominal bad guys. Not one of them has access to—let alone would be welcomed aboard—the Justice League Watchtower. We’re not making this easy on them. But for Cheetah especially, this is an all-or-nothing play—she needs to do this job, and she’s not going to let anything, or anyone, keep her from getting what she’s after.”
"Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League #1" is scheduled for release on August 6, 2025.
In other comic book news, Marvel's new Thunderbolts series is being rebranded as The New Avengers, mirroring the MCU.
