A roadmap of upcoming reveals promises to keep anticipation high: "In the coming weeks, we’ll also showcase high-level warrior combat gameplay, a Companions Week spotlight, and more," the developers announced.

A Decade in the Making

The development of Dragon Age: The Veilguard has been a long and complex process, marked by delays spanning nearly a decade. Development started in 2015 after Dragon Age: Inquisition, but shifted focus to Mass Effect: Andromeda and Anthem, impacting resource allocation and timelines. Initial design conflicts with the company's live-service strategy led to a complete development halt.

The project was revived in 2018 under the codename "Morrison," eventually announced as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf in 2022 before settling on its current title.
