Dredge's mobile release delayed until February 2025, but a new closed beta is now open!
Fans of Black Salt Games' Lovecraftian fishing horror, Dredge, will have to wait a bit longer to cast their lines on mobile. The mobile port has been pushed back to February 2025. However, to soften the blow, Black Salt has opened sign-ups for a new closed beta test.
In Dredge, players become a fisherman in the eerie town of Greater Marrow. What begins as simple fishing quickly descends into encounters with bizarre sea creatures, unsettling mysteries, and the ever-present threat of madness on a nearby, enigmatic island.
Sign up for the closed beta via this Google Form. Despite the delay, the numerous awards and critical praise Dredge has received indicate it's a game well worth the wait for those who haven't experienced it yet.
More than just fishing
Porting a game as expansive as Dredge to mobile is a significant undertaking, so the delay is understandable. The additional closed beta is a smart move, allowing for valuable player feedback before the official launch. This ensures the mobile version delivers the same compelling blend of horror and fishing as the original.
