Filming for the second season of Amazon Prime's live-action Fallout adaptation begins this November, following the April premiere of the first season. Leslie Uggams, reprising her role as Betty Pearson, confirmed the news to Screen Rant. While the full cast hasn't been officially announced, Ella Purnell (Lucy MacLean) and Walton Goggins (Cooper "The Ghoul" Howard) are expected to return. Uggams teased exciting developments for her character, promising surprises for fans.
A 2026 premiere is anticipated, based on the production timeline of the first season (filmed July 2022, premiered April 2024). However, an official release date remains unconfirmed.
The narrative will continue to explore Vault-Tec and the season one cliffhanger. Show producer Graham Wagner revealed a "Vegas-bound" storyline, hinting at the involvement of Fallout: New Vegas antagonist, Robert House. While the extent of House's role remains unclear, his presence was subtly foreshadowed in season one. The second season will also expand on untold stories and pivotal moments from the first season, delving deeper into Vault-Tec executives, the origins of the Great War, and featuring further character development and flashbacks.
