Elden Ring Nightreign's Libra boss reveal gameplay video has sparked a buzz among fans, who are drawing amusing parallels between the boss's appearance and a beloved cartoon character. Dive in to discover more about this surprising comparison and the formidable prowess of the goat-like Nightlord.
As Elden Ring Nightreign approaches its eagerly awaited release, FromSoftware has treated fans to a glimpse of one of its bosses, igniting discussions due to its striking resemblance to a familiar cartoon character. On May 6, IGN released new gameplay footage featuring one of the 8 Nightlords, "Libra, Creature of Night."
True to FromSoftware's challenging style, Libra promises to be a formidable opponent with devastating attacks and swift maneuvers. Yet, it's not just Libra's combat skills that are turning heads; fans have quickly noticed a striking similarity in appearance.
YouTube comments have been abuzz with observations that Libra bears an uncanny resemblance to Grey Matter, a character from the popular cartoon series Ben 10. The comparison stems from Libra's large, bell-like features on his horns, which some have mistaken for Grey Matter's oversized eyes. This amusing similarity was also a hot topic on Reddit following the game's reveal trailer in December 2024, where Libra made a brief appearance. Despite the light-hearted comparison, Libra is poised to challenge players fiercely upon the game's launch.
The gameplay footage showcases Libra as a madness-inducing boss, capable of inflicting the Madness Status Effect on players, leading to health and focus point loss, and stunning them. The video underlines the significance of teamwork, as Libra unleashes large area-of-effect attacks and intricate patterns.
Before engaging in combat, players have the option to strike a deal with the Scale-bearing Merchant, who offers enhanced strength, resistance to ailments, or protection from death. Alternatively, players can choose to bypass this deal and confront the boss directly. The video leaves viewers in suspense about potential drawbacks or costs associated with the deal. Ultimately, the Scale-bearing Merchant is revealed to be Libra itself, who then transforms into its true, menacing form.
As the battle intensifies, Libra's arsenal expands, becoming more dangerous. Initially, Libra employs spells as projectiles and summons area-of-effect sigils across the battlefield. As players inflict more damage, Libra enters a berserk state, enhancing the potency of its melee attacks and madness-based spells, while broadening its area-of-effect attacks.
With less than a month until its release, FromSoftware is set to unveil more about Elden Ring Nightreign, promising a multiplayer experience in the Souls genre like never before. Recently, they released an overview trailer, delving into the game's lore, gameplay mechanics, features, and more.
Elden Ring Nightreign is scheduled for release on May 30, 2025, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Keep up with the latest updates on the game by checking out our dedicated article below!
