Tin Man Games has exciting news for fans of classic dungeon crawls: Eye of the Dragon is now part of the Fighting Fantasy Classics series and is available on all digital platforms, including Android, iOS, and Steam for PC and Mac. If you're a fan of old-school adventures, this game is a nostalgic trip back in time.
This marks the first time Eye of the Dragon has been accessible since its last print in 2010. Originally penned by Ian Livingstone, co-creator of the Fighting Fantasy series, this title was first launched in 2005 during the Wizard Books revival. Interestingly, it traces its origins back to a mini-adventure featured in Dicing with Dragons. With its digital release, Eye of the Dragon now proudly stands as the 19th entry in the Fighting Fantasy Classics collection.
In Eye of the Dragon, you're plunged into a classic monster-filled labyrinth beneath Darkwood Forest. Your ultimate goal? To survive the perilous journey and claim the Golden Dragon, the most coveted treasure in Allansia. Your adventure begins in a tavern in Fang, where a mysterious stranger presents you with a life-altering offer—all you need to do is drink a potentially lethal potion.
The dungeon is fraught with dangers and riches, from deadly traps and magical artifacts to scattered jewels and numerous creatures with sharp teeth. Along the way, you might even encounter an imprisoned dwarf who could turn out to be more than just another non-player character.
Tin Man Games has enhanced this digital adaptation with player-friendly features. You can choose from adjustable difficulty settings and a Free Read mode, perfect for those who want to explore without combat. An auto-mapping function ensures you won’t lose your way in the maze, while unlimited bookmarks and an adventure sheet keep your stats and inventory organized.
Eye of the Dragon joins the ranks of other beloved titles in the series, such as The Warlock of Firetop Mountain, Deathtrap Dungeon, Assassins of Allansia, The Port of Peril, Bloodbones, Forest of Doom, House of Hell, and Trial of Champions. And there's more to come, as Tin Man Games plans to add even more titles to the Fighting Fantasy Classics series. Be sure to check it out on the Google Play Store and stay updated with our latest news, including details on Pikmin Bloom’s Earth Day Event.
