The transition of Charlie Cox's Daredevil from Netflix to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has sparked excitement and speculation about potential comebacks for other characters from the Defenders series. Finn Jones, who portrayed Danny Rand in the Netflix series "Iron Fist" and "The Defenders," has expressed his eagerness to reprise his role, stating, "I’m here and I’m ready."

Jones last appeared as Iron Fist in 2018, in the second season of "Iron Fist" and in "The Defenders," where he teamed up with Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter). Despite the mixed reception to his portrayal of Iron Fist, Jones remains hopeful about returning to the character, especially in light of Daredevil's successful integration into the MCU.

Recent reports have suggested that Marvel is exploring the possibility of reviving The Defenders within the MCU, raising hopes for fans of the series. At the anime convention LaConve in Monterrey, NL, Mexico, Jones addressed the criticism he faced and expressed his desire to prove his critics wrong. "There is a willingness for the fans to see that happen," he said, acknowledging the mixed feelings about his character. "There’s a lot of willingness for the fans to see that not happen as well. I’m very aware of the critiques of the character and my role in it. My response to that is like, give me a f\*\*\*ing chance, man. I’m here and I’m ready. I want to prove people wrong. So I would love to see that happen."

"Daredevil: Born Again" continues the story from the Netflix series, which was part of a smaller-scale Marvel universe that included shows like "Jessica Jones," "Iron Fist," and "Luke Cage." These shows, and the broader Defenders narrative, are now considered part of the MCU canon and are available on Disney+. Jon Bernthal's Punisher, another character from the Netflix series, also makes an appearance in "Daredevil: Born Again," further solidifying the integration of these characters into the MCU.
