Fortnite Drops Reload Mode, Bringing Back Classic Guns and Iconic Maps!

Fortnite's new "Reload" mode brings back classic locations with a modern twist! This fast-paced mode throws 40 players onto a smaller map packed with nostalgic locations like Tilted Towers and Retail Row.

What's in Reload Mode?

Reload mode offers squad-based gameplay with a high-stakes twist: a full squad wipe means elimination. There are no second chances! This intense competition is available in both Battle Royale and Zero Build modes.

The map features a condensed island, eliminating drivable vehicles but overflowing with unvaulted weapons. Expect to find old favorites like the Revolver, Tactical Shotgun, Lever Action Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, and Grappler.

Victory Crowns remain a key element. Reboots are possible, but you'll return with a common Assault Rifle (and building materials in Build mode). The Reboot Timer adds another layer of strategy, starting at 30 seconds and increasing to 40, shortened by eliminating opponents. Players can also choose to immediately initiate their reboot.

Elimination and Rewards

Eliminated players drop Small Shield Potions, ammo, and building materials (in Build mode), keeping the action intense and resource-driven.

The mode also features intro quests rewarding significant XP. Complete three for the Digital Dogfight Contrail, six for the Pool Cubes Wrap, nine for the NaNa Bath Back Bling, and a Victory Royale unlocks The Rezzbrella Glider.
