How To Get the Free Dogwood Village Bow Early in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Secure a Free Bow Early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Early-game combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be challenging, leaving you under-equipped. Fortunately, acquiring a free bow early on is possible, eliminating the need for early purchases. This guide details how to obtain the Dogwood Village Bow without spending a single groat.

After parting ways with Hans, your path to the wedding involves either working for a blacksmith or miller. Regardless of your chosen profession, the blacksmith's location marker conveniently leads you to the bow. While the blacksmith job offers access to Semine's wedding and eventually, the hermit's sword, the bow is obtainable beforehand.

The blacksmith's workshop is located in Tachov, north of Troskowitz. From Troskowitz, follow the westward path, then north. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, turn right towards a seemingly unremarkable cluster of trees. A small training area is hidden within.

Within this area, you'll find a target with arrows—grab these for free ammunition. To the right of the target, leaning against a tree trunk, is the Dogwood Village Bow. You'll also find brew on a nearby stump and harvestable mushrooms. Once you've collected your rewards, continue with your quest.

Alternative Methods: Purchasing the Bow

While purchasing the Dogwood Village Bow from Huntsman's Son Vitek in Tachov is an option, it's not the most powerful ranged weapon, and not worth the cost given its proximity to the free alternative. Vitek does, however, sell superior weapons, and you can supplement your income through alchemy.

Regardless of whether you choose the free bow or pursue other weapons, having a ranged option significantly improves your combat capabilities, especially if you're not comfortable with the melee-focused combat.

After obtaining the bow, you can proceed to Tachov to work as a blacksmith (saving after forging a sword), or continue the main quest by working for the miller. With a ranged weapon, navigating Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's challenges becomes considerably easier.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
