Relax, GTA VI fans! Despite swirling rumors, Take-Two Interactive's recent financial report confirms that the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI is still slated for a Fall 2025 release. This confirmation comes alongside the announcement of Borderlands 4's release within the same year.
Take-Two CEO, Strauss Zelnick, emphasized Rockstar Games' meticulous development process, acknowledging that, as with past titles like GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, additional time may be needed. While specific release dates remain unannounced, the Fall 2025 target remains the current plan.

Zelnick clarified that official release dates will be revealed when appropriate, effectively dismissing speculation of a potential 2026 delay. Take-Two projects a record-breaking year in 2025, fueled in part by projected GTA VI pre-order revenue exceeding $1 billion – a bold prediction for a game of this magnitude.
