Roblox's Rivals Update 9: New Gunblade Weapon and Bridge Map Arrive

The popular first-person shooter PvP Roblox experience, Rivals, has dropped Update 9, introducing the exciting Gunblade weapon and a new map, Bridge. Developer Nosniy Games highlighted these additions in today's patch notes, alongside a few minor tweaks. While a smaller update than some previous releases, it still offers players plenty to explore.

The Gunblade, a versatile weapon combining a rifle and a blade, is a natural fit for Rivals' fast-paced gameplay. Its dual functionality allows for surprising combat tactics, particularly effective on the new Bridge map. This close-quarters combat arena, set in Seoul and created by @GreatGuyBoom, features a suspended concrete structure with limited cover, forcing intense confrontations.

Rivals Update 9 introduces the formidable Gunblade to the game's arsenal.

This update focuses primarily on the new content, with no major bug fixes, balance adjustments, or quality-of-life improvements included. Nosniy Games explained this decision, noting minor skin modifications for the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi, and renaming some weapons. They reassured players that these elements, along with the highly anticipated Ranked mode, will be addressed in the next major update.

The developers emphasized their commitment to player feedback, promising that all necessary changes and improvements will be implemented in time for the Ranked mode rollout.

DEVELOPER'S NOTE

The developers expressed their excitement about the new map and their dedication to the Korean community. They confirmed that the next major update will include the Ranked mode and previously mentioned bug fixes, balance changes, and quality-of-life improvements.
