Beloved voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his work in numerous Bethesda titles including Skyrim, Fallout 3, and Starfield, is critically ill. His family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover medical expenses and living costs while he recovers.
According to a PC Gamer report, Johnson was found unconscious and "barely alive" in his hotel room after failing to appear at a charity event. His wife, Kim, raised the alarm when he didn't show up. Hotel security discovered him, and paramedics struggled to find a pulse.
Johnson's extensive career includes not only video game voice acting, but also 25 years as the public address announcer for the Washington Capitals hockey team, along with various film and television roles. His notable Bethesda roles include Ron Hope in Starfield, Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion, several Daedric Princes in Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4. The outpouring of support from fans reflects his significant contributions to the gaming community and beyond.
