King of Fighters ALLSTAR to Cease Operations

Netmarble's popular action RPG, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is closing its doors this October. The announcement, made recently on Netmarble's official forums, confirms the game's shutdown on October 30th, 2024. In-app purchases have already been disabled since June 26th, 2024.

The Reason Behind the Closure

King of Fighters ALLSTAR enjoyed a successful six-year run, featuring numerous high-profile crossovers from the iconic King of Fighters franchise. Despite positive player feedback praising its smooth animations and engaging PvP battles, the developers hinted at a potential shortage of characters to adapt as a contributing factor to the shutdown. However, this is likely only part of the story, with other undisclosed reasons contributing to the decision.

The game did experience some challenges, including optimization issues and occasional crashes that frustrated some players. Nevertheless, King of Fighters ALLSTAR achieved millions of downloads across Google Play and the App Store.

Players still interested in experiencing the game have approximately four months to do so before the servers go offline in October. Download it from the Google Play Store and enjoy its legendary battles.
