Get ready, Pokemon GO trainers! Black and White Kyurem are finally arriving in Pokemon GO as part of the global GO Tour: Unova event, taking place March 1st and 2nd. These highly anticipated Legendary Pokémon will be available in raids, with a chance to snag their shiny forms! Plus, special event backgrounds inspired by Pokémon Black and White will be up for grabs.

The arrival of Black and White Kyurem fulfills a long-awaited wish for many fans. These powerful Pokémon have been rumored for a while, and their potential impact on the game's meta is significant. While a surprise early appearance occurred in 2023, their official debut is now confirmed.

Niantic's announcement confirms the duo's appearance during the Unova-focused event. This thematic tie-in makes their inclusion a perfect fit. The event runs globally from 10 AM to 6 PM local time on March 1st and 2nd.

Fusion Frenzy: Create Black and White Kyurem!

Similar to last year's Necrozma fusion, players can fuse Kyurem with other Legendary Pokémon. Black Kyurem can be fused with Zekrom using 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy. Similarly, White Kyurem fuses with Reshiram using 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy. This fusion is reversible at no cost. The required energy is obtained by defeating Kyurem in raids.

These fused forms boast unique attacks: Black Kyurem learns Freeze Shock, while White Kyurem learns Ice Burn.

Exclusive Event Rewards:

Complete your collection with two special event backgrounds inspired by the original Pokémon Black and White games. Unlocking both requires fusing both Black and White Kyurem with their respective partners, earning a third, unique background as a bonus.
