Liam Hemsworth Debuts as Geralt in 'The Witcher' Season 5 Set Photos

The iconic White Wolf is set to make his final appearance as production for the much-anticipated fifth and final season of *The Witcher* is now in full swing. Excitingly, new set photos featuring Liam Hemsworth as the lead, Geralt de Rivia, have surfaced online, offering fans a sneak peek at what's to come. These seemingly leaked images, shared by the dedicated Witcher fan site Redanian Intelligence, showcase Hemsworth in full Geralt regalia, complete with the character's signature long blonde hair. Alongside Hemsworth, familiar faces such as Meng'er Zhang as Milva and Joey Batey as Jaskier, both veterans of the series from when Henry Cavill led the cast, are also seen in the photos. Hemsworth's casting was announced back in October 2022, marking his takeover of the role from Cavill starting in Season 4 and continuing into the final season.

The set photos also introduce new characters set to join the fray in Season 4 and carry through to the final season, including the legendary actor Laurence Fishburne, known for his role in *Morbius*, who will portray Emiel Regis. These images have sparked speculation among fans that Season 5 might draw inspiration from Andrzej Sapkowski's *Tower of the Swallow*, where Geralt encounters beekeepers who guide him toward druids. However, with Season 4 still awaiting release, the narrative direction remains wide open, leaving plenty of room for surprises and developments before the final pieces of the story can be pieced together.

It's not just Cavill who has departed the series; Kim Bodnia, who played Geralt's mentor Vesemir, will also not return due to scheduling conflicts. Netflix has yet to announce Bodnia's replacement for the role, and an official release date for Season 4 remains undisclosed, keeping fans eagerly awaiting more updates.
