Monster Hunter Now Is Testing Out a New Monster Outbreaks Feature

Exciting developments are on the horizon for Monster Hunter Now players, as Niantic introduces a new feature called Monster Outbreaks. Currently in the testing phase, Niantic is eager to gather player feedback to fine-tune this feature before its official release. This limited-time event promises thrilling gameplay and unique challenges.

When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?

The Monster Outbreaks testing period is scheduled for April 26th to 27th, with two sessions each day. You can participate from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m. local time, on both Saturday and Sunday. During these designated hours, specific locations on the map will experience outbreaks of 8-star Black Diablos. Your mission is to collaborate with other hunters to defeat a total of 100 Black Diablos at each outbreak point within the one-hour window. Note that this target must be met at each individual outbreak location, not cumulatively across all players.

To participate, you must have reached Hunter Rank (HR) 11 or higher. Importantly, only in-person group hunts are valid; the party feature cannot be used for this event. Outbreak points are clearly marked on the map with a unique icon. By tapping on these icons, you can view detailed information and sign up on the roster to coordinate with other players.

Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!

A fascinating aspect of the Monster Outbreaks is the slay count system. When you team up with three other hunters and successfully take down a Black Diablos, that counts as four towards the goal of 100. If your group reaches this target before the time runs out, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the hour. These outbreaks exclusively feature Black Diablos.

Successful groups that achieve the 100-monster goal will be rewarded handsomely. The rewards include 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Additionally, if you use the sign-up roster, you can earn a special Outbreak Test I Medal.
