The possibility of Marvel Rivals launching on the Nintendo Switch 2, once considered impossible, now appears increasingly likely. While NetEase previously dismissed a release on the original Switch due to technical limitations, the upcoming console could alter the situation significantly.
At the DICE Summit, producer Weikang Wu confirmed ongoing discussions with Nintendo. The primary challenge remains optimizing performance on the new hardware:
"The first-generation Switch lacked the power for our envisioned gameplay. However, if the Switch 2 can handle it, we're prepared to bring the game to the platform."

Following the official Nintendo Switch 2 announcement, major game developers are expressing strong interest in the platform. Phil Spencer indicated Xbox's intention to bring its game library to the system, and Electronic Arts (EA) has also shown its support.
Furthermore, Marvel Rivals is set for continued expansion, with the anticipated addition of two Fantastic Four members in future updates.
