Pikmin Bloom Celebrates 3.5 Years with Classic Nintendo Console Theme

Pikmin Bloom is set to celebrate its 3.5th anniversary next month, and Niantic is bringing a wave of nostalgia with the reintroduction of classic gadgets within the game. The festivities will begin with a special event starting on May 1st, 2025, promising a month-long celebration filled with exciting missions and rewards.

The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!

Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has delighted players with various decorative items, such as Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. For its 3.5th anniversary, the game is introducing classic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s, offering a delightful trip down memory lane.

Additionally, a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin will be available, paying homage to Nintendo's origins in the playing card industry before they ventured into video games. These cards are designed to reflect Nintendo's vintage playing card decks, adding a touch of historical charm to the game.

The event will run from May 1st to May 31st, 2025, giving players ample time to engage in Event Challenge missions. Completing these missions will reward players with random items such as Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.

During the event, Brilliant Mushrooms will appear, and smashing them will yield Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other goodies. The Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 and Playing Card Decor Pikmin are particularly effective at taking down these mushrooms, enhancing your chances of securing valuable rewards.

Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May

In May, players can look forward to blooming big flowers such as carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or anniversary roses by planting red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them.

A nectar update will also be introduced, allowing fruit from mushrooms during May to provide nectar for both regular and special flowers, including carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
