A Record-Breaking Unboxing Livestream

On November 26, 2024, The Pokémon Company International achieved a new Guinness World Record for the longest unboxing livestream, celebrating the launch of the Pokémon TCG Scarlet & Violet - Surging Sparks expansion.

The 24-hour Twitch livestream featured prominent figures in the Pokémon community, including Serebii's Joe Merrick, PokeGirl Ranch, and Mayplaystv. Together, they opened over 1,500 booster packs and other Pokémon products, resulting in an estimated 20,000+ cards, according to the official press release.

The event isn't over yet! The Pokémon Company promises further giveaways on participating content creators' channels within the next two weeks. The collected cards will be organized and donated to charities, including Barnardo’s in the UK, before the holidays.

This expansion introduces Stellar Tera Pokémon ex, such as the defensively powerful Archaludon ex.

The set also features iconic Dragon-type Pokémon like Palkia, Dialga, Eternatus, Alolan Exeggutor ex, and Tatsugiri ex. Tropical-themed Illustration Rare and Special Illustration Rare cards showcase Alolan Dugtrio and Feebas amidst calming ocean waves. New Tera Pokémon ex like Pallossand ex and Flygon ex add exciting options for TCG players.

The expansion is also available digitally through the Pokémon TCG Live app, offering in-game rewards for collecting and battling with the new Stellar Tera Pokémon ex.
