January 2025 Gacha Game Revenue: Genshin Impact Leads the Pack

The gacha game market continues to thrive, with January 2025's revenue figures revealing some interesting trends. Genshin Impact, boosted by a major update featuring the Pyro Archon and the highly anticipated Mawuika banner, saw a remarkable surge in revenue, doubling its December 2024 earnings to a staggering $99.4 million.

Trailing behind Genshin Impact was Pokémon TCG, generating $64 million in revenue. Love and Deepspace, a popular "female gacha" title, secured third place with $55.2 million.

However, not all games experienced such positive growth. Honkai: Star Rail saw a dip in revenue to $50.8 million, while Zenless Zone Zero experienced a significant downturn, with earnings halved to $26.3 million compared to December 2024's $57.9 million.

It's important to note that these rankings only reflect mobile platform revenues. Furthermore, the data incorporates a multiplier for Android revenue in China, as Google Play is unavailable in that market, using iOS revenue as a basis for estimation.
