Project R.I.S.E.: Supercell

Finnish game developer Supercell has surprised fans with a twist on their cancelled RPG, Clash Heroes. Instead of abandoning the concept entirely, they've announced Project R.I.S.E., a reimagining of the game.

The Full Story

Clash Heroes is officially cancelled, confirming earlier rumors. However, Supercell is giving it a new life as Project R.I.S.E., a social action RPG roguelite set within the familiar Clash universe.

Supercell's announcement video features game lead Julien Le Cadre, who bluntly stated that Clash Heroes is dead but that Project R.I.S.E. is a multiplayer-focused action RPG.

For more details, watch the announcement video:

Project R.I.S.E. shares similarities with Clash Heroes but is a completely new game. It's a social action RPG roguelite where players team up in groups of three to ascend The Tower. Each floor presents a new challenge, with the goal being to reach the highest level possible. Unlike the original, the focus is on cooperative gameplay with diverse characters, shifting away from solo PvE dungeons.

The game is currently in pre-alpha, with the first playtest scheduled for early July 2024. Registration for a chance to participate is open on the official website.
