PUBG Mobile officially kicks off the Global Open with almost 100,000 participants

The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) kicks off with a massive $500,000 prize pool and over 90,000 competitors vying for glory. The Open Qualifiers, which commenced February 13th, provide a platform for aspiring PUBG Mobile esports athletes to showcase their skills.

This year's PMGO is the first major international PUBG Mobile esports event, offering a unique opportunity for amateur teams to compete against established organizations. The open qualifier format guarantees fresh talent takes center stage.

Teams featuring at least one Ultimate 500-ranked player from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2. Upcoming weeks will see intense battles to secure a spot in the PMGO Prelims, where they'll face off against top teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.

ytTwelve teams will ultimately earn their place in the PMGO Main Event, facing off against the best professional players. Four professional teams – Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage – have already secured their Main Event spots based on their stellar performance in the PMGC 2024. Four additional teams will qualify through regional competitions, including PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.

The Open Qualifiers conclude March 2nd, followed by the Prelims on April 10th-11th, culminating in the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This tournament marks the beginning of a thrilling year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and PMGC slated for later in 2025.
