Season 1 of Marvel Rivals introduces new characters, maps, and modes, along with a fresh set of challenges offering free rewards, including a Thor skin. This guide focuses on completing the Recursive Destruction challenge in the Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown map.

What is Recursive Destruction?

The "Blood Moon Over the Big Apple" challenge requires triggering Recursive Destruction. This occurs when you destroy a Dracula-influenced object, and it reappears in its original state. Not all objects work; you need to identify specific targets.

Identifying Destructible Objects

Use Chrono Vision (keyboard "B" or console right D-pad) to highlight destructible objects. Only objects highlighted in red will trigger Recursive Destruction.

Completing the Recursive Destruction Challenge in Midtown

To complete this challenge, play Quick Match (Midtown) mode. Initially, no red-highlighted objects will be available. You must wait until the first checkpoint. At this point, two buildings will appear on the map that can trigger Recursive Destruction.

While engaging in combat, target these buildings. The reappearance might be missed in the heat of battle, but hitting them several times should complete the challenge. If unsuccessful, simply replay the match. After completing this, you can move on to the next challenges, which involve trying out Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.
