Hollow Knight Silksong's release remains elusive, much to the amusement (and frustration) of fans. The developers, Team Cherry, seem to enjoy playing with expectations. After missing the 2024 release window, a recent cryptic image—a single cake—sent the fanbase into a frenzy, sparking speculation of an Alternate Reality Game (ARG).

However, Team Cherry quickly dispelled these theories, clarifying that the cake image was simply a playful tease, not a clue to a hidden ARG.

Despite the official explanation, some fans remain unconvinced, clinging to the belief that Team Cherry has something bigger planned, perhaps a full game reveal in April. Until then, the development of Hollow Knight Silksong continues, and the release date remains shrouded in mystery.
