The Simpsons: Tapped Out Is About To Tap Out As EA Is Shutting It Down

EA's beloved mobile game, The Simpsons: Tapped Out, is closing its doors after a twelve-year run. Launched in 2012 on the App Store and 2013 on Google Play, this city-building game allowed players to recreate their own version of Springfield.

The Shutdown Timeline:

In-app purchases are already unavailable. The game will be removed from app stores on October 31st, 2024. Servers will finally shut down on January 24th, 2025. EA expressed gratitude to its players in the sunset announcement, acknowledging the long-standing partnership with The Simpsons and The Walt Disney Company.

One Last Chance to Experience Springfield?

If you've yet to experience the charm of The Simpsons: Tapped Out, now's your chance! Before the servers go offline, you can take the reins of Springfield's reconstruction after Homer's infamous nuclear meltdown.

Guide the Simpsons family and a host of Springfield residents back to normalcy, building your own unique town. Unlock characters like Fat Tony, costumes like Daredevil Bart, and even expand your domain to Springfield Heights and manage Apu's Kwik-E-Mart.

The Simpsons: Tapped Out is a freemium game, regularly updated with content mirroring the show and real-world events. While the game itself is free, in-game "donuts" power the fun.

Download The Simpsons: Tapped Out from the Google Play Store before it's gone. And don't miss our article on eBaseball: MLB Pro Spirit, another exciting mobile game launching this fall!
