The Sims 1 and 2 Return to PC at Last Today via The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle

by Charlotte Feb 19,2025

Celebrate 25 Years of The Sims with Legacy Collections! EA and Maxis are throwing a fantastic anniversary party by bringing back The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 to PC! Available now are The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection, individually or bundled together for $40 in The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle.

These aren't just basic re-releases. Both collections include nearly all expansions and stuff packs. The Sims 2 Legacy Collection is missing only the IKEA Home Stuff pack. To sweeten the deal, bonus content is included: The Sims 1 gets a Throwback Fit Kit, and The Sims 2 receives a Grunge Revival Kit.

PlayThis marks a significant return for these classic titles. The Sims 1 was initially a disc-only release, making it inaccessible for years to modern PC users. While The Sims 2 had a brief resurgence with an Ultimate Collection, that was eventually removed from EA's Origin store. Now, all four main Sims games are readily available digitally.

These games, originally reviewed with scores of 9.5/10 (The Sims 1) and 8.5/10 (The Sims 2), remain charming despite their age. Their simplicity, unique challenges, and lasting impact on gaming make them well worth revisiting. Experience the goofiness and foundational gameplay that started it all!

Grab your copy of The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection today on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the EA app.
